PEMBERVILLE — Arnulfo “Teofilo” Herrera, 76 of Pemberville, OH passed away Monday, September 25, 2023 at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green. He was born on January 12, 1947. He married Francisca Garza in December of 1974. Arnulfo and Francisca raised 7 children and have celebrated nearly 49 years of marriage and were together for 59 years.

BOWLING GREEN — Raymond “Ray” Hoepf was born on a farm in Wyandot County near McCutchenville , Ohio on August 14th, 1924, to Charles C. and Mary E. (Kummerer) Hoepf. He was the youngest of 11 children.

BOWLING GREEN — Charles Joseph “Joe” Cranny, 88, of Bowling Green, Oh, passed away on Sunday, September 17. 2023 at Toledo Hospital in Toledo, OH. He was born July, 24, 1935 in Delmar, IA to Thomas Leo and Lola Ruth (Grumley) Cranny. He was raised in DeWitt, IA where he was a standout on the High School football team and earned a scholarship to attend college. He left college after a year to enter the U.S. Army, where he served stateside in the signal corps during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge from the Army, he was employed at J.I. Case in Davenport, IA until he met his future wife, Beverly Jean Lamb in 1958. They married on June 18, 1960 and moved to Ames, IA where Joe attended Iowa State University, earning a Bachelor’s, Masters’s, and PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

BOWLING GREEN — Dale W. Smith, 75, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away September 10, 2023. He was born May 9, 1948, and grew up in the small village of Ames, New York, son of George W. and Florence (Wessels) Smith, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Canajoharie High School in 1966 as valedictorian of his class and was inducted into the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2018. He graduated from Colgate University in 1970 and earned his Ph.D. in astronomy in 1978 at the University of Washington, Seattle, with a dissertation on dust in the atmosphere of the planet Jupiter.
