Rossford to host balloon fest

ROSSFORD — The 2025 Rossford Balloon & Fireworks Fest will be July 18-19 in the Crossroads next to TOCA Soccer on U.S. 20.

Building on the excitement of the Glass City Balloon Race in 2018-19, the festival presents the unique opportunity for attendees to judge, and score choreographed pyro musical fireworks exhibitions featuring both arial wonders and amazing ground displays each night. Before the fireworks, hot air balloons will fill the sky and then come in for a landing to glow on the balloon field at dusk.

Live music will fill the air of the festival grounds. Over a dozen food trucks will be available; grab a cold one and take a helicopter ride. Check out the fire engines provided by local departments affiliated with the Wood County Firefighters Association that will receive a donation from the proceeds of the event to promote education and provide aid to the community.

There is something for all ages including a Kid’s Fun Zone sponsored by Hero’s Party Experience with bounce houses, obstacle courses, carnival games, face painting, balloon animals, and performers from the Bird’s Eye View Circus. Check out the merchandise offered by craft vendors and local businesses and pick up a colorful event T-shirt.

The festival runs from 5-11 p.m. each day and entry is free.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available to the public beginning in the spring.
