BG man arrested for obstruction, traffic violations

Bowling Green police initiated a traffic stop on Friday in the 200 block of Pike Avenue after the driver allegedly committed a marked lanes violation.

The taillights of the vehicle operated by Roy Jackson Jr., 57, Bowling Green, were also turned off, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

After Jackson parked in a driveway on North Prospect Street, he refused to get back in his vehicle when officers asked, according to the report.

Officers observed Jackson enter the house, according to the report.

More officers arrived on scene to help secure the house. It was found that Jackson had two active warrants from the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Richland County and he had a history of being armed.

A female exited the residence and spoke to officers before Jackson exited the residence, was taken into custody and transported to jail, according to the report.

Jackson was charged with driving under suspension, marked lanes, no taillights at night, and obstructing official business.
