BG man arrested for domestic violence

Bowling Green police were dispatched Saturday to the 100 block of Liberty Street for a report of a male smacking a female in the face.

When officers arrived around 11:34 a.m., they observed Matthew Winslow, 40, Bowling Green, looking out the front door. Officers have been to Winslow’s residence frequently, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

When officers told Winslow why they were there, Winslow stated that he and the female never put hands on one another. He stated that the female walked away from the scene. Officers then spoke to one of Walker’s neighbors, who provided an audio recording of the altercation. Winslow is heard smacking the female in the recording, according to the report.

Winslow then began saying that the female also smacked him. Officers later found the female, who stated that Winslow smacked her on the nose and left cheek of the face. The female refused medical aid, according to the report.

Winslow was arrested for domestic violence. While being placed into handcuffs, Winslow yelled that the female was a liar.

He was taken to jail.
