Lee, Traxler crowned at Elmwood

BLOOMDALE – Elmwood High School crowned Madi Lee and Andrew Traxler as its fall homecoming royalty on Sept. 27.

Lee is the daughter of Cora and Ryan Lee of Jerry City. She participates in varsity volleyball, basketball, track & field, is class president, president of student council, president of Spanish club, student leader in FCA, reporter for FFA, and member of Royal Leadership Team, prom committee, National Honors Society and science club.

Traxler is the son of Heather and Ty Traxler of Bowling Green. In school he participates in FCA, football, basketball, Spanish club, science club and student council.

The court also included seniors Emily Abke, Zack Gross, Nellie Murray and Coltron Bradford; juniors Heavenlei Newson and Hunter Plotts; sophomores Isabelle Schroeder and Ryken Zeigler; and freshmen Bristol Evans and Abe Keiffer.

Abke is the daughter of Renee and Gregg Abke of Portage. In school she participates in varsity sideline cheer, varsity gameday cheer, competition cheer, jazz band, marching band, pep band, concert band, concert choir, Troubadours, musical, art club, Spanish club, FCA and National Honors Society.

Gross is the son of Renee and Andy Gross of Wayne. In school he participates in National Honors Society, Spanish club, student council, FCA, varsity basketball and varsity baseball teams.

Murray is the daughter of mother Abbie Murray, father Mick Murray and stepmother Kate Murray of Bowling Green. She is involved at school in varsity volleyball, prom committee, Spanish Club, science club, student council, National Honors Society, CCP, and Royal Leadership Team.

Bradford is the son of Angie and Andy Bradford of Portage. At school, he participates in football, baseball, basketball, FCA, National Honors Society and Spanish club.

Newson, of Wayne, is the daughter of Karen and Charlie Newman. At Elmwood, she participates in track & field.

Plotts is the son of Miranda and Ron Williams II of Bowling Green and Jim and Jessica Plotts of Holgate. He participates in football, baseball, FFA and FCA.

Schroeder is the daughter of Jennifer and Evan Cain of Risingsun. She is active in basketball, track, choir, Troubadours and Spanish club.

Zeigler is the son of Heidi and Danny Zeigler. At Elmwood, he participates in football, baseball, wrestling, band and FCA.

Evans is the daughter of Samantha and Joey Evans of Wayne. In school, she participates in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Outside of school she participates in Finesse travel softball.

Keiffer is the son of Karla Keiffer and Greg Keiffer of Risingsun. He is active in football, basketball, baseball and FCA.

First grade helpers Saige Tyson carried the queen’s roses, Leo Skattebo carried the king’s crown, Libby Wilson carried the queen’s crown and Colton Reynolds carried the game ball.
