Eastwood unbeaten after 51-0 rout over Fostoria

PEMBERVILLE — Eastwood scored 30 second quarter points while cruising t a 51-0 shutout victory over Northern Buckeye Conference foe Fostoria Friday at Jerry Rutherford Stadium.

Eastwood remains undefeated at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the NBC, while Fostoria falls to 1-6 and 0-4.

Eastwood got on the board in the first quarter on a three-yard run by Kevin Lewis.

In the second, Cam Schumaker scored on 11-yard and four-yard runs, Kevin Lewis scored on another three-yard run, Drew Luidhardt threw a 41-yard TD pass to Hunter Lauer, and the Eagles finished off the half scoring on a safety.

Eastwood got a defensive strip and score by Connor Norton for 27 yards in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter, Kadyn Donnell scored on a 24-yard run.

Donnell ran for 81 yards on four carries, Kevin Lewis ran for 69 yards on 11 carries, Schumaker ran for 45 yards on five carries, and Dayquan Oliver had a nine-yard run.

Luidhardt completed 8-of-15 passes for 129 yards, with one to Lauer for 41 yards, two to Schumaker for 40 yards, one to Kevin Lewis for 27 yards, two to Andre Lewis for 10 yards, and one to Brock Messinger for eight yards.

In addition, Austin Miller was 6-for-6 in conversion kicks and Mason Chaffee was 1-for-1. Schumaker led the defense with 4½ tackles and Messinger had an interception, which he returned 44 yards.
