Housing in the city discussed: RSVPs due Tuesday

BG Save Our Neighborhoods Group (BG SONG), in partnership with the City of Bowling Green, invites people from across the community to explore common interests on improving housing in the city.

The event will take place on Oct. 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Lunch and childcare will be provided.

Everyone planning to attend should RSVP on or before Tuesday by going to the organization’s home page at bgsong.org and clicking on “RSVP here.”

Attendees can expect a dynamic day of activities that will:

• foster open and respectful dialogue

• provide opportunities to share concerns

• brainstorm collaborative ideas

• network with fellow community members

The meeting is designed to:

• understand the challenges, opportunities, and current state of housing and transportation in Bowling Green

• hear from everyone who attends in order to build a guiding coalition

• create a vision for Bowling Green’s neighborhoods that is vibrant, inspiring, and hopeful and

• prioritize key actions stakeholders can take together in the coming year

The Community Call to Action meeting will be facilitated by Steven Cady from the BGSU College of Business and two professionals, Melissa Pynnonen and Tyler Strobel, who are enrolled in the university’s Executive Masters of Organization Development program. Cady is an author, speaker and consultant on the topic of collaborative change.
