Zoar Lutheran Church hosts food packing event

Volunteers of all ages worked in teams to package, seal, and box meals.

PERRYSBURG — On Sept. 7, Zoar Lutheran Church hosted a food packing event in their Family Life Center.

Zoar teamed up with Sew Hope and the Kid’s Coalition Against Hunger to help support mission work in Guatemala. Volunteers of all ages worked in teams to package, seal, and box meals.

The meals prepared will help to fight against hunger and malnutrition in the Petan region of Guatemala and are scheduled to be shipped right away allowing the impact of this effort to begin as soon as possible.

Zoar Lutheran Church has been a cornerstone of Perrysburg since 1850. Worship Services can be enjoyed on Saturdays at 6 p.m., and on Sundays at 8:30 and 11 a.m.
