Cheryl Lyn Sarver, 74 of Luckey, OH, left this world peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg with her family at her bedside.
She was born on March 28, 1950 to William Allen and Eleanor Marie (Pratt) Runion Sr., in Fremont, OH. Cheryl married Daniel R. Sarver on December 5, 1987 at Faith United Methodist Church in Luckey, OH. Cheryl and Dan have celebrated nearly 37 years of marriage together.
In addition to making a beautiful home, Cheryl worked as a Marketing Manager for Tri-State Expedited Service Inc., 20 plus years before she retired. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She also enjoyed decorating her home, which always reflected her personality, and flower gardening. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family.
In addition to her husband Dan, Cheryl is survived by her children: Chacie (Rob) Stone of Luckey, Jim Jacops of Luckey, and Danny (Felicia) Sarver of Luckey. Affectionately known as “Grandma Birdie” by her grandchildren: Ashley, Lindsey, Haydan, Jen, Courtney, Brooklyn, Nadyah, Sophie, great-grandchildren: Connor and Charlotte. Brothers: William Runion Jr., of Woodville, Rick (Barb) Runion of Elmore, and sister, Wendy Runion also of Woodville. Cheryl is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cheryl will be laid to rest at a family committal service in Troy Township Cemetery in Luckey. Officiating will be Pastor Dee Baker. A Celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
