4 injured in Rt. 25 crash

A two-vehicle crash sent four to the hospital.

Around 3:12 p.m. Tuesday, Kelli Sterling, 47, Bowling Green, was operating a 2017 Hyundai Elantra northbound on Ohio 25 approaching Five Point Road.

Cassandra Porter, 46, Toledo, was operating her 2020 Nissan Armada southbound on Route 25 approaching Five Point Road.

Porter was in the left turn lane to head eastbound on Five Point Road. She said she did not see Sterling’s Hyundai and began to make her left turn. Sterling then struck Porter’s vehicle, according to the crash report.

Porter’s Nissan spun in the intersection and became disabled. Sterling’s Hyundai traveled off the right side of the road and struck an electric pole and an AT&T electric box.

Sterling and her two passengers were transported by Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township fire departments to Mercy Health-St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo.

Sterling was transported by Middleton Township Fire Department to Mercy Health-St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo.

The front airbags deployed in both vehicle and oth Sterling and Porter were using their seatbelts.
