BG man ran from police, charged with obstruction

Bowling Green Police were parked in City Lot 1 on Saturday when they noticed a male urinated behind a dumpster.

Around 12:10 a.m.. the male emerged from behind the dumpster, sweating profusely, and mumbled that he wasn’t urinating. The male then began running from the scene, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

While running, the male fell to the ground on his face. Officers ordered the male to stay on the ground, but he got back up before officers could reach him.

The male was found by officers on Main Street.

Landon Mantey, 23, Bowling Green, was charged with disorderly conduct, being unable to care for himself, criminal trespass, and obstructing official business.

An ambulance was called to assess Mantey before he was taken to jail.
