A local cannabis dispensary can now sell marijuana products for recreational use.
Nectar, a cannabis company originally based out of Oregon, has been selling marijuana products recreationally since Aug 6.
“We offer a lot of different products. Because it started out so medical-based in Ohio, there are a lot of different options. We have your typical flower, edibles and concentrates. We also have fusion powders, olive oil, infused sugar, and more,” said Zach Gergich, Nectar General Manager. “All of the products are out of Ohio. They are all Ohio cultivators and processors. They are grown and tested in Ohio.”
The new change is state-wide, with over 130 dispensaries in the state of Ohio being granted the ability to sell both medical and recreational marijuana products.
Nectar has two other stores in Ohio, in Euclid and Cincinnati.
“Nectar wanted to get into the Ohio market. Theres a lottery going on right now (which municipalities get stores). They landed on Bowling Green as one of the hotspots in Ohio. It’s a good opportunity down here,” Gergich said. “The community has been very welcoming. There hasn’t really been any pushback. We have good relations with the people.”
Nectar’s business hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., every day of the week.
“We’re just excited to be here while making a mark on history,” Gergich said. “It’s a historic day in Ohio where we’re finally able to sell for adult use.”
