Police take report of theft from vehicle

Bowling Green Police were dispatched Saturday to the 400 block of East Wooster Street for a theft report.

When officers arrived around 11:47 p.m., they spoke with the caller who stated that $60 was stolen from the center console of their vehicle, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The caller told police that he went into his business for a few minutes and did not lock his car. When the caller came back outside, they found a black male with short dreads in black shorts and a gray/black T-shirt in his vehicle, according to the report.

The caller stated that the male ran away to the south but he did not see where he went. The caller showed officers video footage from the rear of the business that showed the male pulling a door handle next to the caller’s vehicle, then entering their vehicle a short time later before being approached, according to the report.

The suspect has not been identified yet, according to the report.
