Teen arrested for domestic violence after allegedly assaulting vehicle’s driver

A 13-year-old was charged with domestic violence after she allegedly assaulted the driver of the vehicle she was in.

Bowling Green police were dispatched Tuesday to the intersection of East Wooster Street and South Mercer Road for a report of an assault that was in progress. When officers arrived around 6:19 p.m., they spoke with the alleged victim who stated that they were driving when the 13-year-old female in the car began fighting with them, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The alleged victim told police that the teen was fighting with a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle. When the driver attempted to stop the fighting, the teen assaulted them and pulled out clumps of their hair, according to the report.

The teen told police that she was being antagonized by the alleged victim, which upset her.

When in route to the juvenile detention center, the teen made multiple statements about a plan to harm herself, according to the report.

She was charged with domestic violence.
