The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Project Team has announced its annual Legislative Update Forum for 2024. The program will take place on Aug. 23 at Wood County Job & Family Services multi-purpose room, located at 1928 E. Gypsy Lane Road.
Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for networking, with the program beginning at 8 a.m. Coffee and light morning refreshments will be provided courtesy of Call of the Canyon Café and Catering.
The program will open with updates on trending legislative topics from elected officials Congressman Bob Latta, State Senator Theresa Gavarone, and State Representative Haraz Ghanbari. These presentations will be followed with Q&A questions submitted by constituents through the chamber of commerce.
Questions for the panel can be submitted online with registration prior to Aug. 16. Reservations for the event are to be submitted no later than Aug. 19 by 5 p.m. Register and submit questions on the chamber website at bgchamber.net/rsvp.
The Legislative Update program will be facilitated by Rebecca O’Hare, the chamber of commerce’s communications lead. O’Hare graduated magna cum laude from the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. She has a passion for local government and has been an active member of the chamber’s Governmental Affairs Project Team since her start with the organization in early 2022.
