Physical altercation results in 2 arrests

On Sunday, Bowling Green Police were dispatched to a physical altercation at the 1100 block of Sandpiper Lane.

Emma Diegel, 21, Bowling Green, was arrested for domestic violence and was taken to jail.

Jesse Carr, 25, Swanton, was arrested for assault and was taken to jail.

When officers arrived around 8:46 p.m., multiple individuals were scattered outside of the residence. Officers spoke with Diegel and Carr. Diegel stated that her father was being disrespectful which prompted them to want to leave the residence, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

Diegel told police that she tossed the keys to the 17-year old female present, which struck her. After doing so, she confronted Diegel about the act, according to the report.

Diegel stated that this led to the female pushing her and in response, tackling Diegel to the ground. Diegel stated that Carr removed the female from her shortly after being tackled, according to the report.

Officers determined that Diegel scratched the female on the neck, leaving a small scratch mark. It was also discovered that Carr put the female in a tight chokehold to remove her from Diegel, according to the report.
