Black bear reported in BG

Bowling Green Police were dispatched Monday to the 300 block of Sunrise Drive for a report of a black bear sighting.

The caller stated that around 4:55 a.m., the bear was standing up and was around 5 feet tall.

When officers arrived at the scene around 5:00 a.m., they were unable to locate the bear, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
