Bowling Green police investigated a gunshot that was reported on South College Drive Monday.
Officers responded at 8:48 a.m. to the 800 block of East Wooster Street, where a caller reported hearing a gunshot to the south.
The caller reported she parked in a parking lot and was walking toward the building when she heard a gunshot, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.
She told officers she hunts so she was 100% sure it was a gunshot
Dispatch reported someone in the 100 block of South College Drive had heard the gunshot as well as a casing hitting the ground, according to the report.
Officers located a 40-caliber shell casing in a driveway behind houses in the 100 block of South College.
Officers spoke to a man in a house next to the driveway, who said he didn’t hear anything. He refused officers request to search his vehicle.
The incident is closed unless further information is developed.
