Bowling Green City Schools hit another milestone when it accepted more than $35,000 in donations.
The board of education accepted the following at its meeting Tuesday:
Art supplies valued at $13,268.50 for the Bowling Green High School Art Department from Custom Deco
A Gretsch drum set with hardware valued at $1,150 the middle school and high school jazz bands from the Bowling Green Area Community Band
$1,750 to high school softball field maintenance from BGHS Athletic Boosters Club
$500 to the Madrigals from Northwest Ohio School Business Officials (NWOASBO)
$9,285 to Conneaut Camp 2023 from Conneaut PTO
$7,430 to high school football and softball from BG Jr. Bobcats
$250 too high school boys basketball from HPJ Industries
$50 to BG choirs from Denny and Sue Knauss
$150 to BG choirs from Rhonda Quinn and Christopher Lepre
$126 to DECA from Bowling Green Blueliners
$500 to high school football from anonymous
$500 to high school softball from anonymous
$1,111.03 to assist sending BG students to camp from John and Cheryl Archer
$100 to Jr. Bobcat Basics from the Fite/Waldron family
$760 kindergarten grant at Conneaut from BG School Foundation
$150 for the 5th grade camp fund from JDD Enterprises, LLC
$1,046.27 for 5th grade camp fees from Snyder Financial Management, LLC

Donations totaled $38,198.80.
Board members also were provided with a list of needs at the schools, including warm clothes, hats, gloves and socks; prepackaged snacks (with no nuts) for all the elementaries; boys and girls underwear in sizes 4-8 for Conneaut; and snacks, chapstick, and deodarant for the Bobcat Pantry at the middle school.
The board also approved contracts for head coaches for 2023-24, including Shawn Kiss, high school football, $8,150; Andrew Drumm, high school boys tennis, $4,572; Fredrick Riggs, high school baseball, $4,000; Cassandra Nauman, high school softball, $6,560; and Devin Radcliff, high school lacrosse, $3,715.
The board approved a student trip request for the BGHS Jazz Band to attend the Essentially Ellington Festival at Michigan State University on April 13. Registration costs will be paid by the band boosters; student meal costs to be paid by student.
