BG man arrested on warrant

A Bowling Green man was arrested on a warrant after city police responded to a residence for a reported overdose.

At 8:39 a.m. Saturday, Bowling Green police was called to the 400 block of South Main Street for a drug overdose. When the officers arrived, they were escorted upstairs where Douglas Schooner, 38, was sitting in the hallway, unresponsive but breathing.

As he began to lie backwards, an officer touched his arm and said his name. Schooner sat back up, scratched his chest then hit himself on the head a few times.

Officers learned Schooner had a felony warrant out from Hancock County.

He was taken to the hospital to be medically cleared, then was transported to North Baltimore and transferred to the custody of the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
