Jerry City woman arrested for drug abuse

A Jerry City woman has been arrested for possession of fentanyl.

On Tuesday around 4:30 p.m., Bowling Green police were called to Walmart for an unconscious female in the women’s restroom. Dispatched advised CPR was in progress.

When officers arrived, Constance Elliott, 26, was conscious and alert and was being taken out of the handicap accessible stall by medics, according to the Bowling Green Police Division report.

The stall was in disarray, according to the report, and a syringe was located on the floor near the toilet. On the lid of the built-in trash can was a small, sealed plastic bag with a small folded up piece of paper. When opened, the paper contained a white powdery substance which was determined to be 0.74 grams of fentanyl.

A small lid of a plastic bottle containing a small amount of water and a small cotton ball used for filtration were found in the stall.

Additional syringes were found in Elliott’s purse and other empty small bags similar to the bag with the white substance.

Elliott was arrested for drug abuse/fentanyl-related compound and possession of drug abuse instruments.

She was taken to jail after being medically cleared.

She remained incarcerated today with a $10,000 bond.
