BGSU freshmen have top 10 finishes at Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving competed in the first day of the Magnus Cup Friday.

The Falcons opened competition in then 200 Relay with a top-10 time. Then Falcon freshman standout Joanna Robertson finished ninth in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 29.29.

Fellow freshmen Blanca Sanz and Abby Toepfer showed out in the 500 Freestyle. Sanz finished seventh with a time of 4:58.46 and Toepfer 12th with a time 4:58.82.

The Falcons then added their last top-20 individual time of the night in the 200 intermediate medley thanks to butterfly and IM swimmer Grace Bodrock. Bodrock finished 15th with a time of 2:06.50. The Falcons then ended the night in the 400 Medley Relay with an 11th place finish and a time of 3:47.23.

The Falcons continue competition in the Magnus Cup with prelims starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.
