The USA TODAY’s 2023 Readers’ Choice awards for 10 Best Independent Coffee Shops in the United States were announced on Friday, with The Flying Joe capturing a position at No. 5 on the list.
Entries were nominated by an expert panel and voted on by readers as the best in the U.S. for their cozy atmospheres, friendly baristas, and unique menus.
The veteran-owned, aviation themed business originated in Perrysburg and serves locally roasted coffee from Actual coffee, loose leaf organic teas, fresh in-house baked goods, build-your-own breakfast sandwiches, waffles, mimosa and coffee flights, and cocktails that change with the seasons. A second location recently opened in downtown Toledo.
Becky Ohm, owner and founder of The Flying Joe, is delighted to receive such an honor.
