Christman Elves is accepting toys, food, monetary donations

The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce ACT*BG Project Team has announced that the Christmas Elves Program has started and will continue to Dec. 5.

All donations will go to the Thayer Christmas Dreams program, Brown Bag Food Project, and The Cocoon.

The group will be collecting unwrapped new toys, books, hats, mittens, and gloves, non-perishable food items such as tuna, mac and cheese, peanut butter, canned vegetables, etc., and gift cards to grocery stores in $10 increments. They suggest purchasing goods for children ages newborn to 14.

Monetary donations can also be made payable to the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and dropped off at the chamber offices at 217 S. Church St.

Green Realty, ACE Hardware, Almar Lanes, Almar Property Management, Bates Recycling, Beckett’s Burger Bar, Bowling Green Manor, BGSU Flight Center, Bowling Green Vision Center, Brookdale, Bowling Green City Building, Civista Bank, Danberry Realty, Dollar General, Dunn’s Kiddie Care, Evans Home Loans, Premier Bank’s north and south locations, First Insurance, The Flower Basket, Homework, Huntington Bank, Kaiser Family Dentistry, Key Bank, Newlove Realty, State Bank, Thayer Chevrolet, Derick E. Utz DDS, Waddington Jewelers, Wood County Library, and Wood Haven Health Care.

ACT*BG (which stands for Active – Community – Teamwork) is an active project team of the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce. ACT*BG has a mission to attract and retain professionals in the Bowling Green area. The focus is connecting active professionals to each other and to the community through social, civic, charitable, educational, and professional development events.
