A Millbury man has pleaded guilty to wildlife violations dating back two years.

Curtis Asman, 46, appeared Tuesday in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Matt Reger.

He had been indicted in August to six counts of wildlife violations, all fifth-degree felonies.

Asman pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of buying, selling or offering to sell any part of a wild animal or transporting wild animals or their parts.

Each charge stipulated the minimum value of the animals or parts was $1,000, according to court documents.

The state recommended community control.

Asman agreed to forfeit a 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 and pay $10,000. His fishing license is suspended for three years or until the fine is paid

The dates of the offense Asman pleaded guilty to were July 1-2, 2021; Sept. 17, 2021; and May 26, 2022.

Three charges that were alleged to have occurred July 10, 2022; Aug 31, 2022; and Nov. 10, 2022, were dismissed.

Sentencing was set for Dec. 5.
