Rossford woman pleads guilty to drug trafficking

A Rossford woman indicted twice this year for drug trafficking has pleaded guilty.

Deborah Corey, 64, appeared Thursday in the courtroom of Wood County Common Pleas Judge Joel Kuhlman.

She had been indicted in May for three counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, all third-degree felonies; and four counts trafficking in drugs, all fourth-degree felonies.

The offenses occurred from Oct. 26 to Dec. 15, 2022.

In August, she was indicted for trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony; two counts aggravated possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies; and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

On July 28 at her home in Rossford, she sold or offered to sell buprenorphine. The incident was committed in the vicinity of Rossford Junior/Senior High School.

On Thursday, she pleaded guilty to trafficking Buprenorphine, Tramadol, Alprazolam and Pregabalin from the May indictment; and trafficking in Buprenorphine from the August indictment.

Kuhlman said he could impose up to 18 months in prison on each charge. If served consecutively, that is 7.5 years in jail, he said.

There also is a potential license suspension, he said.

Sentencing was set for Dec. 21.
