Detroit man indicted for alleged drug trafficking

A Detroit man has been indicted for alleged trafficking of cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine.

A Wood County grand jury on Oct. 18 indicted Yahking Moshe Saulsberry, 43, for aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in cocaine and possession of cocaine, all first-degree felonies; and trafficking in a fentanyl-related compound and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both third-degree felonies. On March 9, Saulsberry allegedly was found in possession of and was preparing for distribution more than 50 times the bulk amount of methamphetamine, more than five grams of a fentanyl-related compound and more than 27 grams of cocaine. There is a specification for the forfeiture on money ($470) attached to each charge.

The grand jury also indicted:

• Nicholas Ahton Pina, 23, Maumee, for aggravated possession of drugs and possession of cocaine, both fifth-degree felonies. On July 16, he allegedly was found in possession of oxycodone and cocaine.

• Cody Sheldon Beaverson, 48, Bowling Green, for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; and failure to stop after an accident, a first-degree misdemeanor. On Sept. 23, he allegedly received or disposed of a motor vehicle while having reasonable cause to believe it had been stolen and failed to stop his vehicle after an accident and remain at the scene.

• Terry Lee Morris, 50, Toledo, was indicted twice for theft, both fifth-degree felonies.

On Aug. 21, Morris and co-defendant Mylisa Myree Mckenzie, 33, Toledo, were observed entering Lowe’s in Perrysburg, select a cart and exit the store with unpaid merchandise totaling $1,976. They allegedly took a gas self-propelled lawn mower, Husqvarna backpack blower, three ceiling fans and a security sensor.

On Aug. 24, Morris and co-defendant Austin James Siebert, 25, Maumee, allegedly stole more than $1,000 in merchandise from Lowe’s.

McKenzie and Siebert were indicted for theft, a fifth-degree felony.

Warrants have been issued for Morris and Mckenzie.

• Shane Baum, 21, of Toledo and currently in jail, for violating a protection order, a third-degree felony; and menacing by stalking, a fourth-degree felony. From Sept. 22-Oct. 11, he allegedly recklessly violated the terms of a protection order and engaged in conduct that caused the alleged victim to believe Baum would cause physical harm to her or her family. According to court paperwork, Baum allegedly made a threat of physical harm to or against the alleged victim.

• Caleb Ryan Bishop, 30, of Bowling Green and currently in jail, for assault a fourth-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a fifth-degree felony. On Oct. 1, he allegedly prevented or delayed the performance of a public official and caused or attempted to cause serious physical harm to a police officer or firefighter.

• Jason McMillion, 45, Rossford, for domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony. On Sept. 3, Rossford police were dispatched to Knights Inn for a possible domestic violence incident. The female had a bump of her forehead and swelling on both eyes. McMillion had previously pleaded guilty to domestic violence in 2022 in Wood County.

• Jenna Lynn Newland, 26, Clay Center, for receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony; and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse or a combination of them/OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor. During a traffic stop Sept. 22 in Northwood, an unloaded stolen Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun was found in the trunk of her vehicle. She refused a sobriety test and was arrested for OVI.

• Co-defendants Josselyne D. Tapia-Figueroa, 26, Columbus, and Luis Bocca-Higuera, 26, Columbus, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. On Sept. 14, a police officer observed them exit Home Depot in Rossford with full backpacks. During a traffic stop, they allegedly admitted to stealing electrical outlets and sending them to California.

• Co-defendants Courtney L. Miller, 31, Toledo, and Tiffany M. Welch, 31, Toledo, for aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony. On July 22, they allegedly entered an occupied structure on Fairview Avenue with the intent to commit assault. A warrant has been issued for Miller’s arrest.

• Andrew Lee Symington, 33, Northwood, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. From Aug. 30-Sept. 9, he allegedly took personal checks valued at more than $1,000 from another.

• John Nampiang Sitthideth, 33, Findlay, for two counts of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, both third-degree felonies. On Oct. 4, he allegedly willfully fled from police, causing a substantial risk of serious physical harm.

• Jiaron K. Mothershed, 49, Bowling Green, for theft, a fifth-degree felony. From June 26-July 16, he allegedly failed to scan and pay for food and personal care items totaling $1,472 at Bowling Green’s Walmart.

• Co-defendants Malik Marcellus Shackleford, 25, and Carlisle Everton Francis, 30, both of Durham, North Carolina, for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On Aug. 31, they allegedly were found in possession of oxycodone.

Shackleford also was indicted for illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto grounds of a specified government agency, a third-degree felony, after he allegedly attempted to convey drugs into a government facility. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Francis also was indicted for tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, after he allegedly tried to hide the drugs during a traffic stop.

• Kelly Kay Rogacki, 58, Northwood, for grand theft, a fourth-degree felony; and telecommunications fraud, a third-degree felony. From Jan. 1, 2021, through July 3, 2023, she allegedly deprived a homeowners association of currency valued at more than $7,500 after allegedly devising a scheme to defraud using a telecommunication device.

• Marcile Chism, 47, Bowling Green, for grand theft, a fourth-degree felony; and money laundering, a third-degree felony. From Nov. 1, 2022, through June 1, 2023, Chism allegedly deprived another of Ohio lottery keno tickets valued at more than $7,500 while conducting a transaction to carry out corrupt activity.

• Caleb Duane Garrison, 20, of Detroit and currently in jail, for assault, a fifth-degree felony. On Sept. 27, he allegedly caused or attempted to cause physical harm to a sergeant at the Wood County jail, where he was incarcerated while waiting to be sentenced on unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and public indecency.
