Hoops Night After Party at The Stroh Thursday

The Bowling Green State University basketball teams will be hosting a season tip-off event called ‘Hoops Night ft. Taylor’s After-Party’ on Thursday, October 26 in the Stroh Center at 7 p.m.

This event is free of charge and designed for BGSU students, season ticket holders and fans of all ages. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the mens and womens basketball teams including the new coaching staffs led by Todd Simon and FredChmiel, respectively.

Prior to the event, fans can pick up team posters, schedule cards and fun giveaways from BGSU Student Engagement. Each student-athlete and coach will be introduced on stage by event emcee, Brent “Cowboy” Klassen (BGSU Men’s Basketball ‘02).

Following intros, there will be several exciting basketball events for teams to show off their skills, such as the shooting stars competition, knockout, three-point contest, and dunk contest.

Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in some of the contests with the teams. For those looking for refreshments that evening, the Stroh Center concessions stands will be open.

Basketball team members and coaches will be available for autographs.

Immediately following the basketball portion of the event, BGSU will kick off the Taylor themed dance party on the court being hosted by BGSU Athletics and campus student engagement.

The family-friendly after-party is free and open to everyone. Dress up in your favorite Era. The Taylor Dance Party will be full of Taylor’s hits, confetti showers, neon lights, and friendship bracelets. First 500 students in attendance will receive a “Frieda’s Version” Limited Edition Poster.
