Northwood man indicted for rape

A Northwood man has been indicted for rape and a Toledo woman has been indicted for aggravated burglary.

Both are first-degree felonies.

A Wood County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Raul Alex Jaso, 34, Northwood, for rape.

On Aug. 14, he allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with a woman after compelling her to submit by force or threat of force.

The grand jury indicted Amanda Simpson, 34, Toledo, for aggravated burglary and felonious assault, which is a second-degree felony.

On July 26 she allegedly drove her co-defendant, Brooke Lutz, to a residence in the 500 block of Florence Avenue, Northwood, and allegedly witnessed Lutz drag the victim out of the home. She is accused of standing by and not intervening. After, Simpson allegedly drove Lutz away from the scene and made no effort to contact police.

Lutz, 34, Toledo, was indicted in August for aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony; and felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony.
