Pick-six the difference as Rams down Knights, 27-19

TONTOGANY — Dominic Graziana’s one-yard touchdown run put the game out of reach for Tinora as the Rams defeated host Otsego in the Knights’ home opener Friday, 27-19.

Otsego quarterback Devin Farley scored on a one-yard run to bring the Knights to within one possession, but the Knights were unable to get on the scoreboard again.

Otsego had 20 first downs to Tinora’s 12, and the Knights outgained the Rams 311 to 227 in total offensive yards, but Tinora improves to 1-1 while Otsego falls to 0-2.

There were four turnovers in the game, two fumbles lost by Tinora and two interceptions thrown by Otsego.

Farley completed 26-of-41 passes for 258 yards, he scored the Knights’ first TD on a two-yard run, and he threw a 13-yard TD pass to Jack Simpson in the third quarter. Farley also fan for 43 yards on 16 carries.

Simpson caught eight passes for 88 yards, Kenton Wallace caught eight passes for 61 yards, Keeghan Hutton caught three passes for 43 yards, and Owen Atkinson had four catches for 39 yards.

Jordyn Lee-Barnett caught one pass for 19 yards and Cohen Feehan had a catch for eight yards. Lee-Barnett also ran for 10 yards on eight carries. Jacon Bishop was 3-for-4 in point after touchdown conversion kicks.

For Tinora, Owen Ackerman opened the game by returning an interception 58 yards for a TD, Grady Gustwiller scored on a five-yard run, and Graziana scored on 35-yard run.

Gustwiller ran for 114 yards on 19 carries, Graziana ran for 43 yards on 19 carries plus he completed 7-of-14 passes for 71 yards.

Carter Gulliam had a catch for 33 yards, Owen Ferrell had a catch covering 17 yards, Gustwiller had three catches for 10 yards, and Ackerman caught one pass for six yards.
