Leslie A. Brewer

Leslie A. Brewer, age 59, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 2, 1964, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Armand L. “Doc” & Barbara A. (Bowyer) Myers. Leslie married her high school sweetheart, Kent Brewer in 1989 at the Risingsun First Church of God.

Surviving Leslie is her loving husband of 33 years, Kent; brother, Troy (Korrina) Myers of Findlay; sister, Candace (Jimmy) Sherman of Fostoria; nieces & nephews, Mackenzie, Kody, Teddy, Trevor, Tabitha, Travis, Jen, Jeff, Jesse, Troyboy, Alexandria, Lauralea, Kristin, Kyle, Nicole, Lacey, Myranda, Shaneal, Darry Jr., Matt, James. She was preceded in death by her parents, Armand & Barbara, and brother, Lance Myers.

Leslie was a 1982 graduate of Lakota High School where she was Valedictorian of her class, attended BGSU, and earned a master’s degree in business from Tiffin University with Cum Laude honors. She has been working the past 12 years as a Finance Accountant at Dana Corporation in Toledo, enjoyed spending time at Hayes Presidential Center in Fremont the past 10 + years as a Special Event Volunteer, and participated in the Big Brother/Big Sister Program. Leslie has always been a very ambitious person, always helping and putting other people first, had the best love for life, and was the glue that held her family together. Among many hobbies, she was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles, canoeing, walking, camping, snowmobiling, and just being outdoors in general. She also had a love for animals, traveling, sightseeing, and spending almost every weekend during the summer at Freemont Speedway watching races.

Friends will be received from 2-8 PM on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 11 AM. Burial will be at Chestnut Grove Cemetery near Bradner, with a luncheon immediately following at the Risingsun Community Park Building.
