Alonzo B. Shultz

Alonzo B. Shultz, Jr., age 75, of Bradner, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green.

He was born on January 17, 1948, in Bradner, Ohio to the late Alonzo B. & Doris M. (Hansen) Shultz, Sr. Alonzo married Shirley J. Williams on June 15, 1973, in Gibsonburg, and she passed away on July 5, 2014.

Surviving Alonzo is his son, Brian (Stacee) Shultz of Pemberville; daughter, Wendy Harris of Toledo; brother, Gale (Pat) Shultz of Oak Harbor; sisters, Donna Baker of Bradner, Mary Graves of Bradner; grandchildren, Allen Shultz, Ashleigh Tefft, Samantha Tefft; great-grandchildren, Diego, and Emileigh; brother-in-law, Ron Williams of Findlay; sister-in-law, Linda Shultz of Wayne; and his beloved dog, Suzy-Q.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Shirley; brother, Arnold Shultz; brothers-in-law, Clayton Baker & Bill Graves; and great-grandson, Ryse Moore.

Alonzo served his Country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Chrysler for many years, and was a member of the New Hope Christian Church, Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner, and the NRA. Among many hobbies over the years, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Merritt officiating. Burial will be at Bradner Cemetery with Military Honors performed by the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338.

Memorial donations may be made to the Greater Toledo Challenger Baseball League, or to Bridge Hospice.
