Milton Riley Boxley

Milton Riley Boxley, 87, of Rudolph, OH, passed away September 26, 2019 at the Grand Rapids Care Center
with his loving wife at his side. He was born October 30, 1931 in Orange, VA to James & Wahleen
(Woods) Boxley. Milton was a 1949 graduate of Liberty High School.
He was a tree trimmer and the owner and operator of Boxley Tree Service, retiring in his 70’s. He was a
member of Rudolph Christian Church and was a former Portage Twp. Trustee. Milton enjoyed harness racing.
He owned a horse named Letters from Hill. He also enjoyed traveling back to Orange, VA for nearly 35
years for the Calvary Baptist Church’s Homecoming celebration.
He first married Roberta (Whitacre) and she preceded him in death in 1997. He later married Joan West 20
years ago on September 25, 1999. She survives along with children, Vicky (Frank) Martin, Luanne (Phil
Hobson) Patton, Teresa (Ted) Lorenzen, Linda (Dave) Ernsthausen, Howard (Denise) Boxley, Jean (Bob)
Korsnack, and Mark (Gloria) West. He is also survived by their children. He was preceded in death by his
parents, wife, Roberta, son, Milton Boxley Jr., daughter, Susan Wenig, grandson, William Korsnack,
brother, Keith Boxley, and stepchildren, Jody Miller and Matt West.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster
St. Bowling Green, OH. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow
at Wingston Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to Rudolph Christian Church or South Liberty
