David A. Howald Sr., 59, of Toledo, passed away May 26, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in Maumee, Ohio, on Sept. 14, 1959 to Frank and Catherine (Bailey) Howald.
After graduating high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
On Feb. 4, 1998, he married Brenda (Culp).
He had various jobs, but most recently with PTI as a road driver. He was an extremely hard worker,
enjoyed old-time music and classic rock. He enjoyed traveling, loved his ‘92 Cadillac, but what he
cherished most was his family, especially his grandchildren.
David is survived by his wife of 21 years, Brenda; children, Crystal Howald, Niki (Matt Torres) Williams,
Crystal Westfall, David Howald II, Ryder Howald; six grandchildren; sister, Shar (Larry) Stanton;
nephews, Tom (Cathy) Thorpe, Adam Simmonds; and in-laws, Jerry (Rene) Culp.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers.
