Dr. Bienvenido Gonzales

Dr. Bienvenido Gonzales, 74, of Findlay, Ohio passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice
Care Center, Findlay.
Dr. Gonzales was born in Cebu, Philippines to the late Ramiro and Concepcion (Lipardo) Gonzales. He
married the love of his life Maria Loreto Rodriguez on May 3, 1969 in Cebu, Philippines and she survives
in Findlay.
Also surviving are his children: Maria (Stephen) Gonzales-Jackson of Laurel, Maryland; Tina (Patrick)
Weaver of Findlay, Ohio; Sonny Gonzales of Columbus, Ohio; and Rebecca Gonzales of Raleigh, North
Carolina; grandchildren: Lindsay and Nicholas Weaver, Mia and Noelle Gonzales-Jackson and brothers:
Celso, Alfonso and Victor Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his sister Josefina.
Dr. Gonzales graduated from the Cebu Institute of Medicine with his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in 1969. He
immigrated to the United States and furthered his studies at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo (now
known as the University of Toledo Medical College). During his career in the United States, Dr. Gonzales
was a physician of Emergency Medicine at Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green and also at Belmont
County Hospital in Bellaire, Ohio. Dr. Gonzales also practiced internal medicine in his own private
practice in North Baltimore, Ohio, where he continued to provide compassionate care in treating his
patients until his retirement.
Dr. Gonzales was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Findlay. He was an avid
reader and football fan, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. He
enjoyed playing the lottery and most of all spending time with his family.
A private Memorial Mass will be held in Dr. Gonzales’ honor with inurnment in the St. Mary’s Catholic
Cemetery, Carey, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in Dr. Gonzales’ honor to Bridge Hospice Care Center or the Kidney
Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
