Gerald L. “Jerry” Lamb

Gerald L. “Jerry” Lamb, age 77, of Wayne, Ohio passed away on Tuesday (January 7, 2020) at his home.
He was born on August 9, 1942 in Findlay, Ohio to the late Edward & Marie Lamb. He married Gloria
J. (Brueggemeier) Gonyer on December 21, 1979 at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church.
Surviving is his loving wife of 40 years Gloria; sons, Gerald (Brenda Legrou) Lamb, Jr. of Fremont, Ohio,
Kevin (Carriann) Gonyer of Mesick, Michigan; daughters, Korina (Derrell) Thomas of Arlington, Ohio,
Paula (Brian) Lasley of Findlay, Ohio; brother, Thomas Lamb of Findlay; sister, Linda Morris of North
Baltimore, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Marie; brothers, Howard “Skip” Lamb, Robert
“Bob” Lamb; sister, Sondra Woodyard.
Jerry served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked for Clark
American Lincoln in Bowling Green, Ohio until its closing and then he worked at Elder Beerman also in
Bowling Green, Ohio. He was a member of Mt. Zion United Brethren Church near Wayne, Ohio. He was a
member of Albert Bowe American Legion Legion in Bradner, Ohio.
He enjoyed bowling having bowled in Ma & Pa Bowling Leagues. He could always be found at home
watching old western movies or WWE wrestling.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Friday (January 10, 2020) at Barndt Funeral Home in
Wayne, Ohio. Additional viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Saturday (January 11, 2020) at Mt. Zion United
Brethren Church where A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Ron
Merritt officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Wayne, Ohio with military honors performed by the Albert Bowe
American Legion. A bereavement luncheon will be held at the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wayne Volunteer Fire Department.
