Lila Mae Phillips, 88 of North Baltimore passed away at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Bridge
Hospice Care Center.
She was born in North Baltimore on September 9, 1930 to the late Harry and Theora (Zettle) Chapman. On
Dec. 30, 1950 she married Fred Phillips and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1983.
She is survived by six children, Dave (Sue) Phillips; Elaine (James) Wilkinson; Lori Allison; Jim
(Stacey) Phillips; Bruce Phillips and John (Dawn) Phillips; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and
a brother, Edward Chapman.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Betty Gehm; Margene Manns; Mildred Parker and Noreen
Chapman.
She was a 1948 graduate of North Baltimore High School. She was a homemaker throughout her life and
worked at Ducky’s Flower Shop.
Lila attended the McComb Church of Christ.
Memorials can be made to the McComb Church of Christ or to Bridge Hospice in her memory.
