BG POLICE
Citations Dec. 16:
Toyia Taylor, 36, Toledo, was cited for three counts of menacing after allegedly sending threatening
texts to her former co-workers.
Failure to register: Ryan Patterson, 27
Civil enforcement took a complaint of trash in a yard in the 500 block of South Maple Street and in a
back yard in the 400 block of Buttonwood Avenue; and a trash can in the right of way in the 100 block of
South Enterprise Street, the 200 block of South Summit Street, the 100 block of South College Drive and
the 100 block of Clay Street.
Accidents occurred Dec. 16:
Fernando Frias, Fostoria, was northbound on South Dunbridge Road, stopped at the light at East Wooster
Street. Emily Batchelder, BG, was following, slid on the ice while trying to stop, and struck the rear
of Frias. A third vehicle was traveling behind the first two, and failed to stop, struck Batchelder then
left the scene. Batchelder was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Lori Bunting, Sylvania, was stopped westbound on West Poe Road, waiting to turn left into a drive in the
1000 block. Tad Yarger, BG, was following and was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance
ahead after striking Bunting.
Kevin Ebersole, Rudolph, was westbound on Sand Ridge Road approaching South Wintergarden Road. Kristin
Weymer, BG, was southbound on South Wintergarden. Ebersole began to turn right onto on South
Wintergarden, slid of the ice and struck Weymer. Ebersole was cited for failure to maintain reasonable
control.
Isaac Kneier, BG, was westbound in the 300 block of West Gypsy Lane Road, ran off the right side of the
road and struck a utility pole. He was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
Citations Dec. 17:
Speed: Crystal Jones, 42; Charlene Thatcher, 62
Police responded to the 300 block of Campbell Hill Road for items taken from two vehicles, and the 300
block of North Grove Street for a FedEx package taken off the porch.
Accidents occurred Dec. 17:
Tyler Hushour, Fremont, was westbound on East Wooster Street near Dunbridge Road. Nassif Almaiss, Maumee,
was stopped southbound at the light, in the straight lane, on North Dunbridge at East Wooster. Hushour
attempted to turn right onto North Dunbridge and lost control due to slippery road conditions. Hushour
struck Almaiss and was cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
Andrew Derr, Pemberville, was southbound on South Main Street in the left lane. Jocelyn Talbot, McClure,
was exiting the Staples parking lot, and was cited for failure to yield right of way after striking
Derr.
Loretta Ludwig, BG, was eastbound on East Newton Road, slowed down and was struck by Sean Seifert, BG,
who was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.
Brooks Elder, BG, was northbound and Kevin Jewell, Walbridge, was southbound on South Main Street
approaching Colony Lane. Elder was cited for failure to yield right of way after turning in front of
Jewell and being struck.
