Irvin James “Jim” Irvin, 82 of Findlay, died at his residence at 1:27 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019
surrounded by his loving family.
Jim was born on March 30, 1937 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ward and Bernice (Strayer) Irvin. He married
Meta A. (Kersten) Hotaling on April 14, 1969 and she preceded him in death on March 8, 2015.
Surviving are five children, Susanne (Jeff) Smith of Findlay, Walter (Sandra) Hotaling of Findlay, Howard
Hotaling of Findlay, Lisa (Phil) Sanders of Midland, Michigan, Lori Irvin of Findlay, 10 grandchildren,
20 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson, a sister, Marilyn Fernside, and a special friend,
Annette.
Jim was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle Irvin.
Jim graduated from Liberty Township High School in Rudolph, Ohio in 1956 and then joined the Army
National Guard.
He retired as a salesman for Sears and Roebuck Company after 20 years of service.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of Bridge Home Health and Hospice for their
wonderful care of Jim during his last days.
Visitation will be held at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Ave., Findlay, Ohio from at 11 a.m.
to 2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery.
