program marks Black History MonthThe student vocal ensemble LEVAS "Lift Every Voice And Sing" will
present a Black History Month show in the Brown Bag Music Series Friday ensembles Brown Bag Music Series
from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Simpson Building, 1291 Conneaut Ave. in Bowling Green.Listeners are invited
to bring their lunches. Beverages and desserts are available for purchase.The series is a collaboration with
the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts and the The City of Bowling Green Parks and
Recreation Department.Radio show remembers ‘Day the Music Died’A memorial show, "The Day the Music
Died," will be aired on WBGU-FM Friday from 7 to 8 a.m. as part of "The Morning Show with Larry
Weiss."The show will mark the 54th anniversary on Feb. 3, 1959 of the plane crash in Iowa that killed
rock artists Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper (J.P. Richardson).Joining host Weiss for the
tribute in story and song to the three stars will be Bill Schurk, Sound Recordings Archivist in the BGSU
Jerome Library, will join me for this one-hour tribute to those three rock stars.Documenting artwork is
focus of Owens workshopA day-long workshop, "Digitally Documenting Your Art," will be presented
Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Owens Community College,
off Oregon Road in Perrysburg Township.Owens instructor Margaret Lockwood-Lass will discuss the benefits of
having quality digital photographs of artwork in building a website or blog, creating a professional
portfolio and securing exhibitions. Topics will also include taking digital photographs of artwork without a
lot of expensive equipment and when artwork requires a professional photographer.Workshop attendees can have
professional-quality photographs taken of their artwork by students within the Owens Photo Club.For
