Melodic Expressions showcases Owens musicians

Owens Community College’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts will present the Melodic
Expressions Spring Concert Series starting Sunday and continuing through April 28.The free concerts,
featuring students and faculty, will occur in the college’s Center for Fine and Performing Arts, off Oregon
Road, Perrysburg Township.Scheduled events are:• Owens Voices will present a "Tribute to Mozart"
directed by Jodi Jobuck, Sunday, April 7 at 3 p.m. in the Studio Theatre.• Piano recital by adjunct
instructor Dr. Lynda Dunn April 17 at 6 p.m. in the Studio Theatre.• Owens Voices Choir will celebrate the
legacy of W.A. Mozart April 22 at 2 p.m. Center for Fine and Performing Arts Rotunda.• Owens Jazz Ensemble,
directed by Ben Wolkins, demonstrates their skills in improvisation April 23 at 3 p.m. Center for Fine and
Performing Arts Rotunda.• Three Sopranos, One Piano "Arias! Duets! Trios!" featuring adjunct
instructors Jennifer Krull, Jo-Anne Chryscochoos, Jodi Jobuck and Phil Clark, April 24 at 2 p.m. Center for
Fine and Performing Arts Rotunda.• Owens Pop Ensemble, directed by Eric Wallack, performs a variety of
genres including rock and country, April 25 at 2 p.m. Center for Fine and Performing Arts Rotunda.• Owens
Concert Band, directed by Fred Dias, performs patriotic music, Broadway show tunes and marches, April 28
2:30 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre.
