Swing dance tonight at BGSUThe Falcon Swing Society will hold a dance tonight from 8 p.m. to
midnight in the Mutlipurpose Room of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union.Blue Lunch, an eight-piece swing band
from Cleveland, will provide the music.Before the dance starts there will be lessons for beginners starting
at 7 p.m.Admission to the event is $7.The swing society is dedicated to promoting swing dance including
jitterbug, lindy hop, blues, and Charleston. It offers weekly dances and lessons on

ArtTOLEDO – Light installation artist Erwin Redl will present a free artist talk Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at the
Toledo Museum of Art Glass Pavilion.Redl is best known for draping New York City’s Whitney Museum in red and
blue lights for the 2002 Whitney Biennial,Redl is the fifth artist to participate in the Toledo Museum of
Art’s Guest Artist Pavilion Project. The program invites one artist per year to visit.Austrian-born Redl,
who now lives and works in Bowling Green, works with tiny light-emitting diodes mounted in a grid to play
with viewers’ perceptions of space and architecture.Toledo project finds placein journal’s awards
annualTOLEDO – The You Are Here Toledo project has been honored by HOW Magazine.The magazine’s March
International Design Awards Annual bestows an "outstanding" rating on the project which included
100 three-foot wide "dots" placed at historic and other significant locations throughout the city
of Toledo.Each dot featured original artwork or design by a different local artist. Each dot featured a
unique QR code that could be scanned through the app and provided information about the artists and the
artwork and the significance of the location.Residents were encouraged to participate in a scavenger hunt to
find the dots.Jenn Stucker, of the Bowling Green State University faculty, was the art director for the
project, and a number of BGSU artists completed dots."You Are here" was one of only 20 of 242 in
the annual projects to receive an outstanding rating. More than 1,000 projects were submitted for
consideration.
