Noted metalsmith to speak at BGSU

Metalsmith Harlan Butt, an innovator in the use of enamels, will give a talk "Earth Beneath
My Feet" tonight at 7 in Room 1101 in the School of Fine Arts on the Bowling Green State University
campus.The talk is part of a two-day residency by Butt in which he will demonstrate his art and work with
students.Harlan W. Butt is an artist working in metal and enamel who specializes in vessel making, many of
which employ cloisonné patterns inspired by nature.Butt is a Regents Professor of Art at the University of
North Texas where he has taught since 1976.
