Area arts events 6th Edition head to marketPERRYSBURG — The jazz vocal ensemble 6th Edition will
perform a Music At the Market concert July 18 from 7 p.m-. to 8:30 p.m. on the Commodore lawn, 140 E.
Indiana Ave.The members of 6th Edition are a musical collective of accomplished musicians who have
individual music careers.Three of the 6th Edition members Kim Bueller, Lisa Young, and LoriLefevre all
studied under the legendary jazz great Jon Hendricks over adecade ago. That sparked the idea for a vocal
group that wouldspecialize in close, unique vocal harmonies in the style of Lambert,Hendricks and Ross. John
Johnson and Kevin Eikum round out the fivemember group. The group performs a wide range of material from
jazzstandards to Stevie Wonder, a reflection of the group’s eclectic musicaltastes.The concert moves inside
to the Beck Auditorium.Jan Bell photo wins award at Michigan showeBIRMINGHAM, Mich — Photographer Jan Bell,
of Bowling Green, has receivedan award in the Michigan Fine Arts Competition at The BirminghamBloomfield Art
Center.Bell was honored for his photograph “Rocks Extending Seaward.” JurorBrad Durham said of his work:
“Bell provides an evocative take onordinary elements captured exquisitely.”The exhibit runs through Aug. 23.
