Concert features musical winners

The Bowling Green Philharmonia,
under the direction of Emily Freeman Brown, will present the annual Concerto Concert at 3 p.m. in the
Donnell Theatre of the Wolfe Center for the Arts on the Bowling Green State University campus.The concert
will feature the winners of the College of Musical Arts Competitions in Music held in December.Soloists
are:• John Georgeson, clarinet, performing "Cadenzas" from John Corigliano’s "Concerto for
Clarinet."• Akira Kaku, piano, performing "Vivace" from Sergei Rachmaninov’s "Piano
Concerto No. 1."• Noa Even, saxophone, performing "Allegro con moto" and "Larghetto, poi
animato molto" from Jacques Ibert’s "Concertino da Camera."• Elizabeth Pearse, soprano,
performing Richard Strauss’s "Four Last Songs."Conducting will be John James Pearse and Robert
