Salon des Refusés show set
The Prizm Creative Community will sponsor the Salon des Refusés Exhibition for all
local artists whose works were recently not accepted into the annual Toledo Area
Artists Exhibition at The Toledo Museum of Art.
The Salon des Refusés show will be held from Feb. 1 through March 15 at The Art’s
Commission’s Parkwood Gallery located at 1838 Parkwood Ave., across from the
Toledo Museum of Art.
To receive pre-show publicity artists should postmark their application by Jan. 7 to
chairman Judith Gusweiler at 31 Stonegate Circle, Bowling Green 43402, and email
jpg. images of their work to [email protected] with a copy to [email protected].

Drop-off of works, and late walk in registrations will be accepted at the Parkwood
Gallery on Jan. 18 from noon to 4 p.m. and Jan. 19 from 1 to 4 p.m.
A printable prospectus for this year’s show can be obtained at www.myprizm.com or by
emailing [email protected] . Hard copies of the prospectus and postcards for the use
of artists can be picked up at The Arts Commissions offices, 1838 Parkwood Ave.
in Toledo or at American Frame at 400 Tomahawk Dr., Maumee.
An opening reception will be held Feb. 1.
The Salon des Refusés show, a long standing Toledo tradition is an exhibit for art
not accepted by the Toledo Area Artists Exhibition held each year in the Toledo
Museum of Art. This is the fourth year that PRIZM Creative Community has
sponsored show.
Fostoria’s past focus of show
FOSTORIA – A photographic exhibit, "History of Fostoria," is on display
through Feb. 1 in the Wesley Memorial Gallery, 1200 Van Buren St.
The historic photos are from the collection of Ray Dell. Some are accompanied by more
recent photos of the same scenes.
The gallery is located in the narthex of Wesley United Methodist Church.
Clazel Theatre hosting
New Year’s Eve party
The Clazel Theatre, 127 N Main St, Bowling Green, will welcome 2013 with a New Year’s
Eve Retro Party from 8 p.m. on.
The event sponsored by 92.5 Kiss FM features DJ Manny spinning hits from 1980s
through current hits.
