Comedian Tommy Davidson at Levis Commons Funny Bone
PERRYSBURG – Comedian Tommy Davidson, whose was launched as a cast member on "In
Living Color," will perform Friday through Sunday at the Toledo Funny Bone,
6140 Levis Commons Blvd.
Davidson has performed on television and in film. He is in pre-production with
"Deconstructing Sammy," a feature film planned for a 2013 release
covering the most riveting years of the iconic Sammy Davis Jr.
He was featured in Fox’s 25th Anniversary primetime special that aired in April.
"In Living Color" was honored at this year’s 10th annual TV Land
Awards with the "GroundbreakingAward" where the cast was together for
the first time in over 15 years in New York. This summer, the cartoon adaptation
of his cult classic film "Black Dynamite" premiered.
Shows will be Friday at 8 and 10:30 p.m., Saturday 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. and Sunday at 7

Dead Air offering chance for Haunted Hydro sleepover
Dead Air Paranormal Talk Radio on Saturday will feature Crazy Bob from the Haunted
Hydro in Fremont and a chance to win a overnight at the attraction.
The show airs Sunday from 8 to 10 p.m. at 88.1 FM or online at WBGUFM.com.
Each winner will be able to visit on Oct. 6 the Haunted Hydro and then stay overnight
on. They will be guests on Dead Air on Oct. 7 to discuss the experience.
Paranormal investigators from THOR and overnight host Jeff Joerg, a local historian,
will also be present during the stay.
On Sunday Crazy Bob will also be giving away free passes to the attraction

Cure guitarist Reeves Gabrels bringsact to Village Idiot
MAUMEE – Reeves Gabrels and His Imaginary Friends will perform Oct. 4 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Village Idiot, 309 Conant St.
The show produced by Reverend Guitars is one of a few small club appearances that
Gabrels is doing before returning to Europe to record with The Cure.
Gabrels is also known for his futuristic and experimental work with Tin Machine and
David Bowie. His Nashville-based band includes bassist Kevin Hornback and
drummer Jeff Brown.
The Zimmerman Twins, will open the show.
Tickets are $6 at the door.
‘Faces of TMA’ show opens
TOLEDO – The Toledo Museum of Art is paying tribute to its community in a new
exhibition with a collective portrait composed of a room-sized installation of
faces.
Opening Friday in Gallery 1, "Museum People: Faces of TMA" showcases
photographs of nearly 700 individuals – visitors, supporters, volunteers and
staff. Last spring hundreds of community members of all ages were welcomed to
have their portraits taken by local award-winning photographer Jim Rohman and
his assistant Giles Cooper for possible inclusion in the exhibition.
The show continues through Jan. 10. It is part of a fall season of portraiture
headlined by the major international exhibition "Manet: Portraying
Life" and complemented by several others at the Museum.
Collingwood Arts Center hosts Poets for Change
TOLEDO – The Collingwood Arts Center will host Toledo’s second annual 100 Thousand
Poets for Change, Saturday starting at 3 p.m. in the Lois M. Nelson Theatre as
part of a world-wide series of events to promote community and peaceful
activism.
All writers, musicians and artistic performers, from first time poets to professional
artists are invited to attend and perform on stage together, to celebrate the
power of performance.
100 Thousand Poets for Change is a grassroots organization that brings poets, artists
and musicians (new this year) together to call for environmental, social, and
political change, within the framework of peace and sustainability. Founded in
Sonoma County, Calif. there are now nearly 700 events planned worldwide.
