Pemberville youth troupe brings ‘Roarin’ Twenties to life in ‘Flapper’

PEMBERVILLE – Pemberville Children’s Theatre
Workshop will present "Flapper" tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and
Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Pemberville Opera House.Tickets are $8 for adults and $5
for those age 15 and under.The fifth children’s theatre workshop production
features 39 children ages 7-15 from the Northwest Ohio area under the direction
of Angela Patchett with musical direction by Donella Wilt. The cast has been
rehearsing since early June.The Sunday show will be preceded by an old fashioned
ice cream social on the brick street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Funding for the
production comes from the Gale and Marlyn Williamson Performing Arts Fund.Set in
the The Roaring Twenties, the plot by Tim Kelly involves a young flapper about
to inherit a diamond necklace called the "Ice Garden’ and mobsters intent
