TODAY
The oboe students of Jacqueline Leclair will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor House in Wildwood
Metropark in Toledo.
Jazz Lab Band I, directed by David Bixler, will perform at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical
Arts Center.
The Next Frame Film Festival, which showcases student work, will be presented Gish Film Theater at 7:30
p.m. Next Frame exhibits work from students around the world; the festival begins a yearlong
international tour after finalists are selected.
WEDNESDAY
Jazz saxophonist David Bixler will present a faculty recital at 8 p.m. in the Bryan Recital Hall of the
Moore Musical Arts Center.
THURSDAY
The 1949 British film "The Third Man," directed by Carol Reed and starring Joseph Cotten, and
Orson Welles, will be shown in the Gish Film Theater at 7:30 p.m.
MFA students poet LewEllyn Hallet and fiction writer Valerie Carey will read their work works at Prout
Chapel at 7:30 p.m.
Feb. 3-The Bowling Green Opera Theater will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s comic opera "The
Mikado." The event begins at 8 p.m. in the Wooster Center, 1124 East Wooster St. (corner of Wooster
and Williams streets). Free

SATURDAY
Guest flutist Mihoko Watanabe will perform at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall . Watanabe is an assistant
professor of flute at Ball State University.
SUNDAY
The winners of both the undergraduate- and graduate-level concerto competitions will perform in the 45th
annual Bowling Green Philharmonia Concerto Competition concert. Each soloist will play an entire work
with the Philharmonia. The concert begins at 3 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at
BGSU. Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. There is a $3 surcharge on
tickets purchased the day of the concert. For more information, contact the College of Musical Arts Box

The annual Undergraduate Exhibition opens with a reception from 2-4 p.m. in the Dorothy Uber Bryan and
Willard Wankelman galleries in the Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays, and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. The exhibit continues through Feb. 26. Free

Thomas Rosenkranz’s piano students will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Manor House at Wildwood Metropark in
Toledo as part of the Music at the Manor House series

Jazz saxophonist Rich Perry will be in residence on campus to conduct master classes Feb. 7 at 5:30p.m.
and Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. and will perform Feb. 7 at 8 p.m at the Cla-Zel, , 127 North Main St., in downtown
Bowling Green
FEB. 8 & 9
The new music duo itsnotyouitsme with violinist Caleb Burhans and guitarist Grey McMurray will perform
twice while visiting Bowling Green. On Feb. 8 the duo will perform original work along with works by
John Cage, Franz Schubert and others at 8 p.m. performance is at the Cla-Zel Theater in downtown Bowling
Green. The concert is sponsored by BGSU’s MidAmerican Center for Contemporary Music. The suggested
donation is $2 to $5. On Feb. 9, itsnotyouitsme will present a Music at the Forefront concert at 8 p.m.
in Bryan Recital Hall.
