BG holiday gallery hop welcomes new stops

Two new venues will be joining the First Friday Gallery Hop in Bowling Green this week from 5 to 8 p.m.

TOAD gallery and apARTment are joining the monthly event.
Andrew Peet will host apARTment at 137 W Wooster St. The movable exhibit will feature art by BFA students
in the Bowling Green State University. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m.
TOAD Gallery, 1220 W Wooster St., will feature paintings by CR Hutchings. Soup and refreshments will be
served.
Other venues participating are:
• Akimbo Gallery, 175 N Main St., will host its annual holiday show with including pottery, jewelry,
painting and woodworking. Participating artists are Susan Woodard, Mary Dennis, Bud Dennis, Anne Maiden
and Shelly Sabo. Music by Toraigh. Refreshments served.
• Art-a-site! 116 S Main St., is hosting an all-day open house featuring handmade gifts and ornaments.
Free personalization of one ornament even if purchased elsewhere will be offered.
• Myles Baker Street Gallery, 434 E Wooster St., sponsored by the Bowling Green Arts Council, will
feature the work of BGSU Glass students. Opening reception will be 5 to 7 p.m.
• Grounds For Thought, 174 S Main St., features ceramics and sculpture by Allen Williams. Featuring drink
special.
• Studio 14, 125 N. Main Street, will host the opening reception for "The Golden Mean"
featuring artwork based on the Fibonacci spiral as well as an oil painting demonstration by John Embry.
